How to get started?

There is no better place to develop your trade and gain an electrical apprenticeship than with the College of Electrical Training. As an award-winning institute, you can be assured that the knowledge gained at CET is of the highest standard and applicable at the job site.
 
The College of Electrical Training’s range of electrician apprentice pathways caters for the entire electrical industry. From Electrotechnology Training (UEE30820) and Electrical Fitting (UEE33020) - our nationally endorsed qualifications include industry knowledge and skills to assist in completing your apprenticeship.
 
To be eligible you must be a registered apprentice with the state training authority, have a suitable employer to provide you 'on the job' experience, and nominate the College of Electrical Training (CET) as your Registered Training Provider to deliver your 'off the job' training.

Electrical Apprenticeship (Electrician)

This nationally accredited qualification provides participants with the training, skills and knowledge to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises. It includes Electrical Regulatory Authority Council (ERAC), or their successor’s, Essential Performance Capabilities for an ‘Unrestricted Electrician’s Licence’.

Electrical Fitting Apprenticeship

This nationally accredited qualification provides participants with the training, skills and knowledge to manufacture, fit, assemble, erect, operate, test, fault find, alter and repair electrical equipment; and includes electrical wiring work where that work is associated with assembling, maintaining, terminating or altering the wiring between electrical components within plant or machinery.
