Course content

This course provides a thorough overview of EV technology, focusing on various types of EVs, plugs and charging methods. It delves into the technical standards set in Appendix P of AS/NZS 3000:2018, exploring the types of RCDs and addressing load issues and maximum demand considerations. The existing product options for domestic and fleet requirements will be covered, followed by a review of current and future storage solutions and the compatibility between renewable energy and EV charging.

During the practical component of the course, learners will have the opportunity to install, test and commission three different EV charger types, and plug these into an on-site EV.

Knowledge and skills are further consolidated through a final 20-question assessment.

This course is administered by, and booked through, SkillBuild [RTO 70059]. To book, please register your interest and one of our staff will assist you in making the booking.
