College of Electrical Training Attendance Policy

NEW 5685

Updated Attendance Policy

1 July 2025 sees the updated College of Electrical Training (CET) attendance policy to ensure that CET complies with the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) Business Rules and in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2025.

What does this mean for you?

CET expects 100% attendance and will be enforcing minimum attendance requirements of the Census Date, a date calculated at no less than 20% of delivery of the unit of competency. Failure to present on, or before, the Census Date will result in that unit being rescheduled. If the unit is a critical pre-requisite for the remaining scheduled units, those will also need to be rescheduled. This may have an impact on the amount of time required to complete the rest of your training, and the extension of your apprenticeship beyond the original expiry date.

Your updated timetable will be emailed to you from the CET team, please ensure that you check your junk folder. The census date for each unit will clearly be listed in your new timetable.

If you have any questions as to how these changes impact your learning moving forward, contact your campus on jandakot@cet.asn.au or joondalup@cet.asn.au. Alternatively call the Jandakot team on (08) 6595 6600 or the Joondalup team on (08) 6233 5000. You can view the updated policy below.
