All year, we talk safety. In October, let's get louder. Celebrated every October, National Safe Work Month is a time to commit to building a healthy and safe workplace.
Safe Work Month this October will focus on areas to encourage industry efforts to reduce work-related harm and extend beyond day-to-day activities.

Week 1: Health and safety representatives (HSRs)
Increase understanding of PCBU duties and the importance of consulting and involving workers in designing and implementing safe systems of work.

Week 2: Psychosocial and mental health
Improve the management of psychosocial hazards in the workplace and promote positive work practices supporting mental health and wellbeing.

Week 3: Repeat hazard exposure

Drive improvements in the workplace management of hazardous dusts and protect workers from harm.
